How Can severe Head Tremors In A 78 Years Old Be Treated?

I have had two brain scans and have been diagnosed with benign tremors of the head. I was told by a neurologist that the medication that would help me would be very difficult to take and to hold off as long as possible. I am 78 years old and it is getting worse. The movement seems to be left to right or right to left . It is not occurring constantly however it is quite often. I am aware of it and when I am aware of it I hold my Head stiff and that makes it worse. Are there any exercises or any suggestions you might have . I have chosen not to go back to the neurologist.
